There will be raffles, face-painting and lots of fun.

Elijah was our 6 year old nephew who tragically passed away on May 1, 2012 due to the reckless driving of another driver. The fund was initially started with the idea of helping the communities that embraced our family so lovingly. Since then it has evolved specifically into the Elijah Helping Hands Award which honors local elementary students for ongoing acts of giving and kindness. My nephew was a very kind and generous little boy. Each recipient’s class is given a pizza party and the fund donates $25.00 to the charity of their choice in the student’s name. The fund has also raised money to install a friendship bench at Elijah’s school where any student who is feeling alone can sit and other students can sit with them knowing they need a friend. In addition funds have been allocated to improve local parks because Elijah loved nothing better than playing with his brother Rowan at the local park.
